You can't beat the taste of fresh bread
You can’t beat the taste of fresh bread. It is the UK’s favourite smell and with good reason: it’s warm, yeasty aroma reminds us of the joy of eating freshly baked bread, still hot from the oven and slathered with melting butter.
However, to get that just cooked taste, you have to be an early bird at the bakery in order to catch the delivery as it comes in. Before the pandemic, you could also buy freshly baked bread in the supermarkets, but many of the in-store bakeries are still closed, and Asda has just announced it’s closing theirs completely, opting for more frequent deliveries from centralised bakeries.
It seems that the best way to truly enjoy the freshest bread whenever you want it is to make your own. And by far the easiest way to do that is in a Sensio Bread Maker. It’s easy to see why the Bread Maker is one of our best selling products. It’s super easy to use - all you do is add the ingredients, set the program for the type of bread you’re baking, press Start and go and do something else until the bread is ready.
Whatever type of bread you want
Our bread makers have a number of programs that will bake the perfect loaf, whether you want white, brown, wholemeal or gluten free. You can even program the crust setting so you end up with light, medium or dark crust. If you want to use dough for bread rolls or a pizza base, the bread maker will do all the hard work for you - all you need to do is take the credit!
Fresh bread, whenever you want it
The Sensio Bread Maker has a programmable timer which means you can add all the ingredients in advance, then programme it to start baking at a time that suits you. This enables you to make sure that the bread will be ready at the right time for you. So you can set it in order to wake up to hot, fresh bread as a breakfast treat. The smell alone will encourage everyone to get up! But don’t worry if you oversleep - there’s a ‘keep warm’ function that’ll keep it nice and warm for an hour.
What else does it do?
This might surprise you, but you can also make jam in a Sensio Bread Maker! It’s extremely easy: put 700g of strawberries in the bread maker, along with 700g caster sugar and 13g of pectin. Close the lid and choose the jam setting, then let the bread machine do the rest. Pour the jam into sterilised jars, wash the pan, then make yourself a lovely loaf of homemade bread to enjoy with your homemade jam.
